The Lawson R-XIV School District released a Return-to-School plan today for Summer School 2020. The Return-to-School for Summer School 2020
plan is a living document designed to outline the Lawson R-XIV School District’s efforts in protecting students, teachers, staff, and patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to note the document is current as of the date listed above and will change as new information is made available through the proper health authorities such as the Clay County Health Services & The CDC. The District expects the document will change over the weeks to come and leading up to the opening of the 2020-21 school year in August. As a result, the released Return-to-School Summer School is the first draft plan for the upcoming regular school year.
The success of this plan is dependent upon adherence by all involved to the guidance and recommendations contained herein and those offered by local, state, and federal health organizations. This outline contains provisions that are feasible, practical, acceptable, and tailored to meet the needs of our students, staff, and patrons. The Lawson R-XIV School District is planning on in-person learning during Summer School 2020 from July 13-31, 2020. The Return-to-School plan is designed to be a quick reference for students, parents, teachers, and patrons. Although, the plan will guide the District's efforts in response to the pandemic, it is important to note the Lawson R-XIV Schools cannot prevent the possible transmission or contraction of COVID-19 for any individual.
Although the pandemic has given a new definition to a safe and secure learning environment, the Lawson R-XIV School District considers student, teacher, and patron safety and security to be a top priority and will continue to focus our efforts to achieve that priority. Please click HERE
