Lawson Middle School

Lawson Middle School is the home of the Fighting Cardinals. Our building is home to about 350 fifth through eighth graders. Our mission is to provide the educational and social stepping stone for all students to proceed to high school with a broad academic basis, a positive attitude, self-esteem, and, above all, an eagerness to learn. Our goals and expectations of the students:

Represent our school in an outstanding manner.
Work to the best of your ability.
Treat others with dignity, worth, and respect.
Keep our campus beautiful and clean.
Obey all the rules and regulations set forth by your teachers and the school.

Mr. Travis Zahl

Mr. Travis Zahl received his Bachelor of Education degree with an emphasis in Social Science from the University of Nebraska in 2002. He received his Masters and Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University. Mr. Zahl enjoys fishing, watching sporting events, and collecting sports cards.

Mr. Wade Proffitt

Mr. Proffitt is entering his 13th year in education and 6th year in administration. He received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Missouri alongside Masters and Specialist degrees in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. Mr. Proffitt and his wife have two children. He enjoys being with his family, hiking, and attending sporting events.
