Lawson Middle School

Lawson Middle School is the home of the Fighting Cardinals. Our building is home to about 350 fifth through eighth graders. Our mission is to provide the educational and social stepping stone for all students to proceed to high school with a broad academic basis, a positive attitude, self-esteem, and, above all, an eagerness to learn. Our goals and expectations of the students:

Represent our school in an outstanding manner.
Work to the best of your ability.
Treat others with dignity, worth, and respect.
Keep our campus beautiful and clean.
Obey all the rules and regulations set forth by your teachers and the school.

Mr. Travis Zahl

Mr. Travis Zahl received his Bachelor of Education degree with an emphasis in Social Science from the University of Nebraska in 2002. He received his Masters and Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University. Mr. Zahl enjoys fishing, watching sporting events, and collecting sports cards.

Mr. Kevin Keeton

Mr. Keeton is an alumnus of Williams Jewell College and Avila University. He has completed his Educational Specialist Degree through Arkansas State University. Mr. Keeton's passion is people, and he loves helping develop the character traits of hard work, honesty, and integrity in Middle School students. Mr. Keeton loves to hunt and fish and cheer on the Chiefs and Royals.
