Mrs. Cross is the Principal at Southwest.  She spent her first 16 years as a classroom teacher here at Southwest. She has taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Missouri Western State University and her Masters in Administration from William Woods University. She lives in Lawson with her husband Scott and their two children who attend Lawson Schools.  She enjoys reading, watching her children play sports, and being outdoors.

Mrs. Amanda Durbin is the Assistant Principal at Southwest. She spent her first 9 years in education as a Special Education Teacher in grades K-2, 5th grade and High School. She spent the last 4 years as a Behavior Interventionist within the St. Joseph School District at Edison Elementary. She has her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education Leadership from the University of Missouri, Masters of Arts in Teaching from Columbia College, and Specialist in Educational Leadership K-12 from Northwest Missouri State University. She lives in Cameron with her husband and two boys. She enjoys traveling, watching her children play sports, and being with family and friends.
