Julie’s Care Closet was created to honor our amazing SW friend and teacher Julie Dolt, and her
everlasting love for Lawson, the students, and the community by creating a “care closet” in her
name. Through generous donations, the closet is already stocked with school supplies, coats,
and extra clothes.

Here are some of the other ways the donations have been used to help our school:
*Paying field trip fees for those who can’t afford it.
*Rewards for our students that meet their reading goals (Kona Ice Truck!).
*Purchasing books for our Read for a Brighter Future program & Read Across America Day.
*Supporting the celebration of our students who have perfect attendance.
*And so much more!

We are so appreciative of the opportunities this fund has provided us, so we can continue to
support and recognize our students and staff at SW. If you are interested in making a donation
to the care closet, feel free to drop items off at the SW office or checks can be made out to
Southwest Elementary w/ “Julie’s Care Closet” in the memo. We also have a tax donation letter
available by request.

The family of Julie Dolt expressed their desire to help our students and community in her name,
and we are so very, very honored and grateful.

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
