The construction of the precast panels for the Southwest Safe Room will begin today, Monday 9/19, with the arrival of the crane and panel installation set to begin on Tuesday, 9/20 and expected to last for two weeks, through 9/30. Please be advised that large semis will be delivering the precast wall and roof sections through town. The route will follow Hwy D, to Pennsylvania, to Moss, to the construction site. While the delivery company will avoid delivery during the times of 7:45-8:30am and 2:45-3:30pm for student arrival and dismissal, the District asks that Southwest patrons do NOT park from the circle drive to the west on Moss St. during these posted times. These are large trucks, with the roof section trailers measuring 90'. They will need unimpeded access to the construction site. Specifically, parents arriving for pick up after school, should begin the lineup on Silvey and NOT on Moss St. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to the central office at 816 580-7277.
