This April, Lawson Cardinal Theatre invites you to experience the magical, wonderful, and scrumdiddlyumptious story of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory! See all your favorite moments and characters brought to life by our talented cast and crew! After finding a golden ticket, Charlie Bucket and his grandfather take a tour of the mysterious and wacky factory of Willy Wonka. Along the way, they, and a group of bratty children, navigate the perils and hijinks of the factory, all in the quest for a lifetime of chocolate! A wonderful adventure for the whole family and more! Auditions are open to 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Auditions will be on January 9th after school in the SPAC. Callbacks will be on January 11th after school in Mr. Sanchez’s room. (we will be done before the talent show rehearsal!) Crew forms will be due January 12th to Mr. Sanchez. Pick up forms and sign up outside Mr. Sanchez’s room. Cardinal boys basketball swept the Cameron Dragons with a 37-17 C-team win, JV won 45-33 and the Varsity capped off the evening with a 67-38. Basketball will be back on the court Friday as we host Lathrop and recognize Lawson graduate and Olympic hopeful Janee Kassanavoid.

Last night the Missouri Football Coaches Association honored Coach Andersen with a lifetime achievement award for assistant football coaches. Coach Andersen was recognized for his 29 years of dedication to Lawson students as a teacher, football, and wrestling coach.

The Lawson Lady Cardinal basketball team took on the Richmond Spartans last night coming away with 2 wins. The JV girls defeated their opponent 55-16 improving their record to 2-0 and varsity walked away with a 57-22 win moving to 3-0 on the season.

Lawson Lady Cardinals Basketball team hosted the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers tonight for their home opener. The JV girls won 31-7 in two quarters of action to start the evening. Then the Varsity girls fought in a scrappy game and came away with a 38-29 victory. Lady Cards moves 2-0 on the season.

Lawson Cardinals Basketball kicked off the season tonight with a trip to Lexington. The night began with a thrilling double OT game for our JV boys but unfortunately they ended up losing 33-34. Varsity girls started the season on the right foot with a big 49-27 victory. Varsity boys fought hard versus the Lexington Minutemen but fell 61-78.
