
Today Lawson High School hosted the 1st Varsity Cardinal Wrestling Classic! It was a great day where our Boys wrestling team wrestled well and continued their constant progress. We are very excited to continue this tournament in the future and are thankful for the countless people that helped make today possible.

Lady Cardinals played in the KCI tournament's consolation game tonight. Our girls played well and came out victorious against Plattsburg 52-30.

Both Varsity basketball teams played their round 2 games of the KCI tournament last night in Hamilton. The girls came away with a 52-31 victory over the Penney Hornets. The boys fell short in a 39-36 decision against Lathrop. #GoCards

Congratulations to our two fall 2023 college signings. Lane Chapman (Missouri Southern Baseball) and Evie Caresia (Graceland University Volleyball) both signed their letters of intent yesterday among family, friends, teammates, and coaches.



Lawson Lady Cardinals started this week's KCI tournament tonight vs East Buchanan @Penney High School. Was a close game from start to finish but Lady Cardinals fall 32-36. Cardinals will 2nd round play vs Penney on Wednesday at 4:30pm.


The boys basketball team hosted a triple header last night against the Lafayette County Huskers. The C team earned their first victory with an exciting 35-28 victory. Unfortunately the JV and Varsity teams were both unable to secure a victory. #WeAreLawson

The Lawson Lady Cardinal basketball team took on the Richmond Spartans last night coming away with 2 wins. The JV girls defeated their opponent 55-16 improving their record to 2-0 and varsity walked away with a 57-22 win moving to 3-0 on the season.

Tonight's boys and girls middle school basketball is at the East Buchanan old gym.

Lawson Lady Cardinals Basketball team hosted the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers tonight for their home opener.
The JV girls won 31-7 in two quarters of action to start the evening. Then the Varsity girls fought in a scrappy game and came away with a 38-29 victory. Lady Cards moves 2-0 on the season.

Lawson Cardinals Basketball kicked off the season tonight with a trip to Lexington.
The night began with a thrilling double OT game for our JV boys but unfortunately they ended up losing 33-34.
Varsity girls started the season on the right foot with a big 49-27 victory.
Varsity boys fought hard versus the Lexington Minutemen but fell 61-78.

Reminder that tonight's "Meet the Cards" starts at 6:30 pm in the main gym. Lawson Youth Wrestling is hosting a chili supper before in the hs commons. See you all there!

Thursday night's Winter "Meet the Cards" will begin with a free-will donation chili supper for Lawson Youth Wrestling at 5:45 in the cafeteria. Non-perishable food items are also being collected that night for the Lawson Food Pantry. The fun begins after at 6:30 pm.
