Lanidrac staff members attended the spring NSPA/JEA National High School Journalism Convention, Apr. 23-27, in Seattle, along with more than 5,000 other high school journalists from across the nation.
Congratulations to the 2024 Lanidrac yearbook staff on earning NSPA Best of Show 4th place in the 144-239 page yearbook category. This is the staff's highest finish to date, and it makes them one of only 40 high schools (of all sizes) from across the nation to earn a Best of Show award.
Students also competed in the JEA National Student Media Competition, earning two individual awards. Junior Brooks Blair earned an Excellent rating for his series of three photos and captions entered in the Sports Action category, and junior Aleah Johnson earned an Excellent rating for her series of three photos and captions entered in the Sports Feature Photography category.
Please congratulate these students on earning these awards. It's truly not an easy thing to do.
