FFA Convention

Lawson FFA students have returned home from an unforgettable week at the 98th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis!

Throughout their weeklong adventure, students had countless opportunities to grow their leadership skills and explore the diverse world of agriculture, from Jersey dairy cattle and ice cream production to honey, popcorn, orchard, and diversified crop systems.

Students also explored hundreds of college and career pathways while gaining a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be an FFA member.

2025 marks the second year for Lawson students to experience the National Convention, following the local FFA Chapter’s official chartering in 2024, a milestone that continues to provide our student body with valuable agricultural learning opportunities.

The local chapter continues to see major growth in membership, expanding opportunities for students in grades 7–12. Plans are also underway to create designated hands-on learning spaces in agricultural mechanics, horticulture, and greenhouse management, while introducing younger students to agriculture through a new outreach program called Ag On The Move. #WeAreLawson
