Lawson Middle School Students Selected for 2026 Missouri All-State Children’s Choir
Lawson, MO — Lawson Middle School proudly congratulates Clarabelle Irby and Hadley Williams, fifth-grade students, on their selection to the 2026 Missouri All-State Children’s Choir. Selection to this prestigious ensemble is made through a competitive audition-only process and is open to fourth- and fifth-grade students from across the state of Missouri.
The students traveled to Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, where they spent Tuesday, January 27, rehearsing alongside nearly 200 talented young musicians as part of the 88th Annual Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference. The choir was conducted by Mr. Greg Gilpin, a Missouri native and nationally recognized, award-winning composer.
Following approximately six hours of rehearsal, the students performed a wonderful culminating concert for their families and music educators from across the nation.
