District Leaders Participate in 2026 Real World Learning Conference
Dr. Stephenson, Mr. Petet, and Mr. Haley represented the district at the 2026 RWL Conference held in Kansas City, MO, joining educational leaders from across the region to advance market-value learning experiences for students.
During the conference, the team engaged in sessions focused on activating learning systems into motion, moving beyond strategic vision to operational implementation. Emphasis was placed on elevating student agency by designing structures that empower learners to take ownership of their educational pathways while demonstrating mastery through authentic performance tasks. District leaders also explored how to intentionally connect personalized, competency-based learning frameworks to real-world, market-value industries.
Real World Learning is designed to ensure students graduate with tangible assets, including internships, client-connected projects, entrepreneurial experiences, and industry-recognized credentials that provide a competitive advantage in both postsecondary education and the workforce.
Dr. Stephenson noted, “Our work is centered on ensuring that personalized systems translate into meaningful workforce relevance. When student agency is paired with authentic connection, learning becomes both rigorous and purpose-driven.”
Participation in the 2026 Real World Learning Conference reinforces the district’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and market-value assets necessary to thrive in an evolving economy.
