Lawson High School Students Excel at State Music Festival
Lawson, MO — On Thursday, April 30, sixteen Lawson High School students traveled to Columbia to compete at the University of Missouri campus in the MSHSAA State Solo and Small Ensemble Music Festival. These students earned their place at state by receiving Gold ratings at the District Music Festival held in late March.
At the state level, students performed for adjudicators and received both ratings and professional feedback on their performances. For many of the participants, this marked their first experience competing at the state level. Notably, this is the largest group of Lawson students to qualify for the state music festival in more than fifteen years.
Lawson High School is proud of the dedication, preparation, and commitment these students demonstrated throughout the process.
