On Saturday, October 29, sixteen Select Choir students left dark and early and traveled to Platte County HS in Platte City, where they spent the entire day rehearsing with 197 students from across the Northwest District under the direction of Dr. Anthony Maglione from William Jewell College. It was a long day of singing, but the students put on a wonderful performance that evening for teachers, parents, and administrators. This is the largest number of students accepted to and participated in this district event from Lawson.
Those students performing on Saturday were: Kimberlin Ballard (11), Lola Bolinger (9), Powell Bolinger (10), Ava Briegel (11), Jocelyn Hazlett (11), Allison Hochwender (10), Haley Hollon (11), Aleah Johnson (9), Haley Lewis (10), Connar Long (11), Joanna Mayne (9), Carsyn McPheeters (12), Cade Shafer (11), Cara Siebert (10), Jacklyn Thompson (10), and Xander Veverka (9).
