Congratulations to Logan Heins and Elle LaFleur, 5th graders at Lawson MS, for auditioning for and being chosen to participate in this year's MO All-State Children's Choir.
The All-State Children's Choir is made up of 4th and 5th grade students from across the state. Logan and Elle auditioned in September with the help of their teacher, Mrs. Covey. They traveled to Tan-tar-a this week and spent all day Wednesday, January 25th rehearsing with the choir under the direction of Kerry Heisler, an active music educator from Alberta, Canada. Following more than six hours of rehearsal, the students put on a wonderful performance for a packed audience of family and teachers from across the state.
