The Lawson R-XIV School District is excited to announce the long-awaited Grand Opening of the SW FEMA Building. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 15, from 5pm-6pm, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:15pm. The Lawson R-XIV Board of Education will also have its monthly business meeting at 6pm in the SW FEMA Commons. We hope you join us. #WeAreLawson

The district is currently transitioning their Student Information System. The TylerSIS Parent Portal is still available for viewing purposes, but cannot be used for meal payment. If you need to make a payment to your child's lunch account, please visit either the Middle School office or Southwest's office. Information about our new system will be coming soon!
Summer School 2023 starts this WEDNESDAY! Students may enroll on the first day. We hope to see you there!

May Board Spotlights:
The first board spotlight was to recognize the hard work and dedication of our two registered nurses, Tina Murdock and Melinda Grimpo. Not only do these two ladies help many of our students each day, but they recently applied for and received a feminine product grant through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for approximately $713.
This grant provides these products for all Lawson middle school and high school girls’ restrooms, and gives students and patrons access to these items at no cost.
We greatly appreciate all that these two ladies do to help the well-being and health of all our students!
Next, the board recognized the Robotics team for all their hard work and success this year. Members of the team along with sponsor, Mr. Rodney Foster, were present to talk about their experience at the FRC Worlds Competition they recently attended in Houston, Texas. The competition was that consisting of over 400 teams from around the world. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments!
