Another Southwest Elementary Bond Project Reaches the Finish Line!
We’re excited to announce the completion of the installation of brand new lockers in our 3rd and 4th-grade hallway!
These new lockers will free up classroom space, giving students more room for learning and collaboration. They also provide a small but meaningful step in preparing students to transition to middle school.
This project was made possible by the incredible support of our community through the passing of the April 2024 Bond. Thank you for investing in the future of our students! #WeAreLawson
Mrs. Covey has been recognized as the 2025 Outstanding Director for the Northwest District by the Missouri Choral Directors Association (MCDA). The award was presented during the annual MCDA Summer Conference held last week in Springfield.
This prestigious recognition is awarded to one director from each of the seven MCDA districts across the state and honors exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to choral music education.

Middle School Office Renovation Nearing Completion
The middle school office renovation is nearing completion, with the final pieces scheduled for completion within the next week. The updated space features modern flooring, enhanced lighting, a new conference room, and a secure daytime entrance designed to improve safety for students and staff. These improvements will provide a more functional and welcoming environment as we begin the new school year.
All of this has been made possible thanks to the support of our community through the successful passage of the April 2024 No Tax Increase Bond. We are grateful for your continued commitment to our schools. #WeAreLawson
